Hi guys! This is officially my first entry of the year and can you also believe it’s almost end of February? :() Amazing!
Well, as some of you noticed I was in Costa Rica for the past last weeks which was a great time to spend with my family, friends and at my favourite beaches. I’ve been saying for the last three years everytime I go to Costa Rica to provide you with a little travel guide, but somehow I end up skipping it. This time while I fight the jet lag and switch back to my schedule and routine back at home, I put together few things I found interesting to do and go on a trip to Costa Rica. Please beware that this is not your usual travel guide, it is tips, suggestions and ideas for your travel journal. So get ready and take note.
1. Best Cup of coffee
What better way to start your trip than with the best cup of coffee. As you might know or not Costa Rica is one of the best coffee producers in the world and of course one can’t go around without trying a good cup of our specialty coffees. Among the best coffee places to go one definitely to stop by is at Cafe El Tostador which you’ll find located right at the heart of the capital in San Jose.

2. Where to have lunch?
There’s a new fantastic place to have lunch or to go with your friends after work. It is called Container Platz located on the west side of the country. It is a Place with many different stands made out of containers where you can choose from a variety of different types of food. I loved the organic stand on the second floor of the place where I went for lunch with my mom.

3. How about a Gin’n Tonic workshop?
If you are looking for an alternative and different activity while in San Jose I recommend you to take a Gin and Tonic class at a new creative and artistic space Art Gallery & Lounge. A well curated and designed space where you can book creative activities including art and cocktail workshops. 100% Recommended.
4. Beach Please!
When you think of Costa Rica what comes first to your mind? Beach right? Of course, and here it is difficult to recommend one or the other beach. We are surrounded by two oceans pacific and atlantic and in both sides we have paradisiac beaches. Personally, I love the beaches at the North Pacific best ( Tamarindo, Flamingo, Conchal ), but in the Central Pacific there is also one of my favourite ( Manuel Antonio ), at the South ( Dominical) and on the Atlantic coast at the caribbean side (Puerto Viejo). To choose from you have a lot, it all comes to your choices and preferences.
To get you also sorted with the right beach wear, I’m loving a beachwear brand I found that has amazing fits, designs, prints and top quality. Check out local brand Guayaberi 100% Costarican designer swimwear infused with the vibrant colours of the nature.

5. Need a Haircut?
This is something I always need to do while being there specially because of my type of hair it’s not so easy to get good hair treatments abroad. Luckily I know where in Costa Rica to go. I recommend Anka Estetica for their wide range of services including spa, beauty, personal care and the latest barber shop. Great quality of service and final result for the whole family.

6. San Jose at night
Last but not least if you want to have the best view of San Jose day or night Ram Luna is a must go. I promise you there’s the best view to completely see San Jose and surroundings. Take a look!
Hope you enjoyed and don’t forget to check my post on Segovia.
