Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a great week so far. Mine it’s been pretty busy since last week and today I have a little time to check in finally on my beauty section of the blog. OMG gente, last week was a major week for the beauty industry with the launch of Rihanna’s beauty line Fentybeauty. Ok, I’m really excited and I don’t know how to start.
Last week as some of you followed in my ig stories, I visited Paris to attend an exhibition with my good friend. It was a very short visit but well worth it because we managed to do A LOT OF THINGS in a bit more than 24 hours. One of those things was to do a lil’ shopping, something I can’t help when traveling and of course a must stop always in Paris it’s at my favourite shop in the universe, SEPHORA. My intention was to visit the main one in Champs Elysees but when we got off the train at the station Gare du Nord guess what was right in front my nose ? yayyyyyyy a hug Sephora store and to my surprise the launched of the fenty beauty collection was also beautifully displayed there.
One thing I have to say about this line, it is AMAZING especially for girls with my skin tone and darker but trust me it suits every skin type. My friend with fair skin colour ended up also with some of the products. Also the packaging is genius, sleek and chic I promise you they are to dye for. I got only four products from the line which I will explain each in the pictures below. The line is also available online both at Sephora and Fentybeauty websites.
Hope you guys enjoy my review and I do wish to hear from you, your opinion and if anyone also got products from the line.
GLOSS BOMB. This is the only lipstick of the entire line. What I love about it, is that it’s glossy but not too sticky and it has a beautiful nude finish, the lips look like injected and bigger, don’t know why. No wonder it’s called gloss bomb, it pays justice to the name. Love the fact that they kept it simple just with one BOMB product. Well done!
KILLAWATT. This one is the start of the whole line. The freestyle highlighter killawatt in colour trophy wife. There’s other highlighters to play with, but I already have similar ones, so I decided to go more risky with this golden, popping and shining finish. I say it’s risky because if you’re not careful might end up like a clown with some golden yellow spots on the face. In fact, I saw many reviews and this one is either hated or loved. I particularly love it because it looks GORGEOUS on my skin tone. My friend also bought it, she’s fairer skin tone and it looked GORGEOUS too. Again, know how to apply it and you’ll rock it. Another fun use is as an eyeshadow, in fact it suits way better especially for a glow/dramatic night look. Yes, I recommended it 100%.
MATCH STIX. It’s a makeup stick in matte finish with a light wear coverage formula, since I’m not really a fan of full coverage formulas this one suited perfect for me. It’s a matte finish with a velvety touch and multiple uses such as concealer, corrector or even contour, I LOVE IT. The only maybe not so positive review is that there are way too many shades in my opinion and it was difficult to choose from. The tone I’m using is caramel and I think I was lucky because this was the first one I grabbed and it was it. When I was trying the liquid foundations was not easy to get with my tone. In my opinion could have been less.
PRO FILT’R. Last but not least and maybe my favourite of the line is this primer in tone soft matte. It’s no joke it has like retouch effect. It minimises very nicely the pores and it really smooths the skin for the foundation. I had other primers that felt like silicone or plastic on the skin but this one feels rather hydrating and light. Another 100.
