One of the things I enjoy from life the most is traveling, it is my school of life. Nothing changes me the most the majority of times for good than a trip to a new place where I haven’t been. And this is how my new year started with a 4 day trip to this amazing and wonderful island.
When I was living in Spain I did not travel so much except for work and Mallorca was still pending on my list from “Las Islas Baleares”. Finally, a very improvised and out of no plan this trip happened after a New Year’s Eve breakfast with my very good friend Nicole. First sight love, Mallorca has all the reasons to come and visit. The weather, food, nightlife, culture, shopping, beach, mountain, everything.
Don’t miss the super up-scale yacht port at Port Adriano which was remodelled by renowned French architect Philippe Starck, to create one of the most modern and unashamedly devoted to luxury marina in the Mediterranean. If looking where to stay Palma de Mallorca offers a vast amount of all sorts of hotels for every budget and taste. I highly recommend a rustic Mallorca and contemporary design Hotel Tres located at the heart of Palma. The rooms were fantastic and the best is the rooftop with a breathtaking view of the cathedral and city.
Island hoping and a trip through the mountains is the best way to catch a sunset and end your day. Everywhere you’ll find restaurants with local food such as Pan am boli which is one of my favourite dishes or pizza Mallorqui is just delicious, (I owe you the food pictures, it was so good I finished it before I made shots with the camera).
There’s no doubt I’ll be back before the summer hits and gets too crowded. Mallorca is worth a trip to disconnect for a couple of days and get some relaxing time.
