Even though I know I can start anew every single day, I’m always invigorated by the idea of starting a new year. Some of you might also have started planning for the new year’s eve. But have you thought about what should be your New Year goals? I did. I listed out 3 new year resolutions that might help me organise my individual priorities and transform the coming year totally for good.
- Gather my planner. No year goes by without my husband gifting me a planner and this year was even more special because he did it himself. Awwww! In my agenda, I organise every single day what I need to do, short term and medium term goals and priorities. I can say I pretty much still have a good memory, but having a planner and writing things down help me achieve consistently the things I want, even if they are small it really helps go through the list and check what’s done and what needs to be done.
- Detox. This New Year I’m starting with a detox to cleanse from overindulging and to refocus on this year’s goals. I recommend for those who also want to start the year with a cleansing to follow these two girls from TIU, they are launching a 5 day detox Plan including a meal plan for each day and fitness program and all for free. In my opinion from the fitness online world they are one of the best.
- The books. I have a pile of books that I ordered online and that mom also brought to me last November that I asked her to bring, they are all waiting to be read. The year 2017 I listed as a resolution less phone and more reading and being honest, I only finish two books this year. Oops, that’s not good because I used to read before at least 6 books a year or more and sometimes two at the same time and now I barely read. This has to stop about now, so I will decrease my consumption of social media and get back to my books.
These are personal actions that might help me kick start the year and follow up stronger and focused, however I have a bigger list with the things I want to achieve this year all written down in my planner. Furthermore, to receive the new year what better look than with this year’s most buzzed-about colour. Red is by far the ultimate colour to transmit passion, holiday party, fire and in the Chinese culture the red colour symbolises good luck and traditionally is a symbol of happiness and a sign of joy and good fortune. So bring it on 2018, I’m ready for ya!
With all the ups and downs feeling grateful and blessed for all the amazing moments throughout the year specially for being able to spend the end of the year with my precious family. Special thanks to Axel Kühne from Akapiko photography who makes possible this wonderful material.
Wishing everyone an absolutely fabulous New Year’s Eve and all the joy, happiness, blessings, health and fortune for 2018.
Guten Rutsch!
xoxo OM
